I ranch in the Ismay, Montana area. I have been a farm and ranch realtor since 1997 and worked with Bill Bahny & Associates from 1997 until 2000. I became a Broker and went on my own starting my company called Powder River Ranch Realty. I was very successful in the real estate business. My slogan was “REAL MONTANA RANCHER SELLING REAL MONTANA RANCHES” I started winding down the real estate business in 2008 and went to full-time ranching. I have ranched for over 50 years and am a first-generation Montana rancher.

I was born in ND and learned to ranch there. I then bought a ranch on the Powder River at the end of the road, I call it my home place as I have never sold it but have owned many ranches over the 50 years. I don’t hunt but know some about it, caused mostly by the ranch I own in B.C. Canada. I carried 45/70 marlin rifles on our horses due to the overabundance of Grizzly bears. As you can well tell I m a conservative-leaning sort of a fellow. I am a believer in private land – private wildlife. I am a fairly new Registered Black Angus breeder and a commercial cow-calf producer. I raise crops and hay with both irrigated and dryland experience.
